Newly-opened Bukit Gombak Park has 108-step Hill Trek, Butterfly Garden, Dog Run & Playground!

 

There's a NEW park in the West! 

Located at Bukit Batok West Avenue 5, opposite the Bukit Batok Driving Centre, Bukit Gombak Park is a park which caters to everyone - whether you’re a nature lover, fitness enthusiast, young parent or pet owner!

Here's what to expect if you are planning a visit:

HILL TREK

The interesting feature of 4.8-hectare Bukit Gombak Park is it is home to an inclined looped 400m hill trek which is modelled after the trails in Bukit Timah.

One can get that heart rate going by scaling the hill trek of 108 steps to enjoy panoramic greenery views.

Granted it is no Bukit Timah Hill, but it is also a good workout for those legs.... especially if you are bringing along the kids!

BUTTERFLY GARDEN

Speaking of kids, they will be enthralled by the Butterfly Garden once they reach the top part of the steps.

Located at the highest elevation of the park at 45m, the Butterfly Garden features butterfly-attracting plants that enable visitors to get up-close to nature.

And supposedly, there are over 20 species of butterflies to spot at the butterfly garden!

DOG RUN

The first in the Bukit Gombak area, the dog run is sited on a hill with a sloped terrain for dogs to run unleashed, and benches for dog owners to rest.

OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND

What's a park without a playground?

Inspired by nature, the playground includes a slide integrated into the natural sloped terrain, and play equipment such as balancing beams set amongst trees and shrubs.

This is to encourage children to play amidst nature.

Kids can climb up the sloped terrain via the wall and slide down a bright green slide to complete the fun!

Kids can also test their balancing skills at the play obstacle challenge equipment.

Oh, and swings are alway a good idea!

Adults can keep an eye on the kids while working out at the nearby fitness stations as well.

WHISK & PADDLE CAFE

Hungry after all the exertions? Whisk & Paddle serves up a host of food and beverages for that rumbling tummy!

Nestled right beside the HDB estate, Bukit Gombak Park provides visitors with tranquil areas to enjoy nature, recreational spaces for families, and opportunities for the community to experience gardening and be closer to nature.

BONUS!

Bukit Gombak Park is situated beside Pavilion Park and is connected to the Pavilion Playground via a footpath (see map further below).

The quaint Pavilion Park features a terrace playground with two embankment slides, climbing arches and swinging saddles.

So be sure to head to the Pavilion Playground for even more playground fun!
