Hands up if you are one of those who think that Kallang Wave Mall is devoid of family-friendly entertainment. I got to admit I was one of them because other than the rock climbing facility within the mall, I did not know of any other outlets that catered to kids and families.

Well well well, how wrong I have been all these while then...

THE PETITE PARK

Catered to kids aged 7 years and below, The Petite Park is a children’s indoor play space that is designed to provide the little ones an imaginative, challenging, and fun yet safe environment to play and explore. In fact, The Petite Park has been around for very long - ever since when my boys were preschoolers! So it's really a testament to their enriching play environment all these years.

If you have really young kids or toddlers, this is one perfect yet safe indoor playground to bring them to. The area is not too large, which is good so that you can keep them in your sight all the time. Also, the play equipment within the play area encourages creative and experiential play.

JOLLY FIELDS BY ZOOMOOV

Got older kids? Then Jolly Fields is the place to head to! Created by ZOOMOOV, the company behind all the animal rides which kids ride on and zip through the malls, the play space consists of a giant sand pit where anything goes.

The area is enclosed with ample staff onsite so if your kids are older, you can drop them off, head off for your errands or shopping and pick them up when play time is up.

Okay, so which kid doesn't like arcade centres? Some parents even love it themselves! 😄

Paco FunWorld occupies a massive space on the ground level of Kallang Wave Mall and is billed as a Family Entertainment Centre. I can see why, with its wide selection of games and machines to play. I even saw grandparents playing with their grandkids while I was there!

And how massive is Paco FunWorld, you ask? Massive enough to even fit an indoor ball pit area on its premises!

Let's just say kids will go crazy at the ball pit, slides and air guns.

CUE GURU/ SAINT GAMES

If you have older kids, or teens like I do, then all of the above probably won't cut it for them. How about bonding over a game of pool then? Or even video gaming together?

Cue Guru prides itself on being a family-friendly snooker hall establishment featuring top of the range Brunswick tables. No sleazy snooker parlours here, in case you are wondering.

Or if your kids love gaming and board games, then Saint Games who share the same shop space is the perfect hangout spot. Families can choose to bond over video games or over a wide selection of board games. Great venue for the whole family to chill for a couple of hours - especially if we can't head outdoors due to wet weather!
