With travelling overseas being a no-go for the upcoming year-end school holidays, the next best thing is to book a night (or two) at one of the hotels right here in Singapore for a staycation with the family!
BUT granted there are loads of family-friendly hotels in Singapore, but the common problem I often face when booking for a staycation is finding a hotel room that can accommodate my family of five. If I had my way, I would rather just book ONE room so as to save on costs (two rooms are tough on the wallet!).... but more often than not, it is extremely tough.
The ideal situation will be finding a hotel that has a room with TWO double beds - that's usally two queen-sized beds in one room which is more than enough for a family with 3 young kids, I reckon. The problem is, which hotels in Singapore have these kind of rooms av available???
Increasingly, I have received A LOT of private messages and emails from my readers asking the the exact same question. I do know of a few but I got curious and decided to do some research. And this list is the result of my research.

SINGLE ROOM WITH TWO DOUBLE BEDS
InterContinental Singapore
InterContinental Singapore is strategically situated in the Bugis area, offering a vibrant mix of shops and eateries. It is also just beside the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct. Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre has the reputation as one of the most centrally-located mid-range hotels in Singapore. Located just behind Centrepoint, it is within walking distance to the entire Orchard Road stretch as well as being a stone's throw away from Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations.
Go for the 31sqm 'Premier Room Two Double Beds' option, which comes with two double beds. The room is spacious and comfortable and as an added bonus, kids stay and eat for free (12 years and below) at the hotel!

Mouthful hotel name aside, it is situated in the Balestier/Novena district - a district that isn't where your usual staycation will take you.
