UPDATE [11 Oct 2020] It is now open!!!!

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 [𝟐𝟏 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝐩𝐦]: The entry is closed to visitors, as confirmed by another one of my readers. If I have news of the opening date, I will definitely update here again. Thanks for the support! 😊
UPDATE [21 July 2020, 11am]: One of my readers had informed me that she was there this morning at 10am and the pathway was barricaded, as it is not officially open yet. So do take note if you are intending to head down.
---
Parents with kids who are huge fans of dinosaurs, you might just want to take them on the newest Park Connector in Singapore... because they get to see life-sized dinosaur dioramas as they walk along the pathway.
And they definitely will come face to face with this!
And that stretch of path with dinosaurs? It's aptly named JURASSIC MILE.
Thanks to my dinosaur-crazy nephews, my sister brought them down over the weekend and I knew I had to document it on my blog. 😁
Located just beside Changi Airport Terminal 4's Carpark 4A, it is part of the new Changi Airport Connector which serves to connect Changi Airport to East Coast Park via a pathway where the public can walk, scoot or cycle to and fro.
I don't think the connector is offcially launched because although the pathway is ready, you can't walk all the way to East Coast Park yet due to a barrier at the end of the Jurassic Mile path.
So if you want to visit with the kids now, your best bet is to enter from Terminal 4's Carpark 4A side. If you are driving, simply park your car there and walk towards the Tanah Merah Country Club Garden Course. You will see the brown signs that I had shared above. Continue along the red pathway.
Soon you will find barricades on both sides of the path - one side belongs to Changi Airport while the other belongs to Tanah Merah Country Club.
After a short 120m-walk, the first dinosaur appears.
No, they don't move... in case you are wondering.
And they are all behind fences, meaning one will not be able to get up close and touch them.
I think the main idea of placing the dinosaurs along this stretch of park connector is to make the walk slightly more interesting, especially for kids.
And interesting it certainly was, with these information panels about the dinosaurs!
Hello, Ankylosaurus. You are looking pretty realistic, I must add.
Oh, and one can never ever leave out the mighty T-Rex when it comes to a party of dinosaurs!
My fave has got to be this colourful Stegosaurus. 😍
This pair of Parasaurolophus came a close second though.
And the last dinosaur will be towering over you as you approach the final stretch of the pathway.
Make that two because it has a baby for company!
Remember I mentioned it is extremely new? It's so new that I googled and couldn't find anything on it! (So aren't you glad you are reading my blog? 😂😂😂)
And when I was there, there were workers who were still putting the finishing touches. In addition, most of the information panels were not put up yet.
The entire Jurassic Mile is less than 1km long so it's extremely doable for even young kids. You can even bring along their skate scooters or bicycles!
The end of Jurassic Mile connects to East Coast Park, Bedok Jetty and Marina Bay but at the time of writing, the entrance to that is still barricaded.
Here's a video walkthrough of the entire Jurassic Mile:
If your kids love dinosaurs, they will love walking up and down the pathway.
And it is a park connector like no other.
Best of all, it's FREE to enjoy for everyone (and still not crowded)!

Hi, if I take grab, where should be my destination? Just changi terminal 4? Then I walk to car park 4A?
Hi Trista, you can put the destination as T4 and can try to ask the driver to drop you at the entrance of Carpark 4A.
I’m here now after seeing your post and the Jurassic Mile section is boarded up till further notice. Please DO NOT make the trip.
I’m here now after seeing your post and the section is closed till further notice.
The fact that it's not officially open yet means you were trespassing and this blog is evidence of your illegal activity.
Hi Anon,
First of all, please allow me to say this - HAHAHAHAHAHA!
The fact that you are here and hiding behind an anonymous identity makes me laugh.
Let me address your concerns:
1. When I was there, the place was NOT boarded up. Neither were there signs saying that it is out of bounds to the public or that the area is closed. So please tell me - how can that be trespassing?
2. Some of the workers were working on the dioramas when I was there, as well as some of the management staff (which I presume were from the company in charge of the project). The staff were deep in discussion with the workers and they came and left in a buggy. I spoke briefly with them and that was how I understood that it was still a work-in-progress. NOT ONCE DID THEY SAY THAT I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO BE INSIDE. Can you let that sink in for a minute? So be my guest, and screenshot my entire blog post as "evidence of my illegal activity". But let me make life simple for you: I will NOT be deleting this post EVER. You're welcome.
3. You seem like someone who is bitter about making the wasted trip down after reading my post. Can I kindly draw your attention to the two important updates that I added to my post once my readers told me that the place has been barricaded? In the first place, I had already mentioned that the place has NOT been officially opened to public.
4. I am publishing all three of your comments for transparency. In all my 15 years of blogging, I have always been very diligent in ensuring accuracy in my information when sharing with fellow parents. That is because I am a parent myself, and the purpose of my blog is to add value to the lives of parents - not the other way around. I let my track record for the past 15 years and my other readers speak for themselves.
P.S. And please, go ahead and report me if you are so sure you have evidence of my illegal activity. If not, you will only be one of the many faceless trolls online and unless it is something that you are proud enough to tell your children upfront, please do something about it.
I am eagerly waiting.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Thumb up the author for sharing. Pls don't bother those anonymous.
Hey great share! Do update us when it opens ya!
Hi everyone
Quick update it’s not opened yet. I didn’t see the earlier comments and excitedly drop by. 😅 looking forward! 🦕
The place is still under progressive work as of 2:15 pm, today. There's no information board with the contractor company name, project description or the approximate date of completion, which is strange. The workers also don’t know when will it be opened. I’ve asked.
Jurassic Mile is situated at a place currently can be considered as a ghost town; No people around so no point wasting resources to block people off. And the supervisors cannot chase you out cause its a public place.
That trespass accusation is dumb — I am one of the Urban Explorers of Singapore.
Anyway, did the barricades came after your photos went viral? If so, then good job! Not barricading an under-construction site is bad practice as it can lead to hazardous consequences, especially kids are around because most kids love dinosaurs.
There are bits of ‘prehistoric’ places around Singapore with dinosaurs, like the Discovery Centre (presently close for renovation). Not sure if the dinosaur playgrounds are still around. One interesting thing to note that JURASSIC MILE may have a connection with the green atmosphere surrounding the waterfall at Jewel. One has dinosaurs while another gave that Jurassic Park vibe.
Keep on exploring ya.
In addition to my comment - This link has photos taken on 22 August, which is weird. One comment reads: "Official opening should be in Oct-2020, permanent. Part of the new PCN!"

Hi, is this opened?
Hi all, as of today (10 Sep 2020), it is still not opened.
Hi Azyyure, thanks for taking time to pen your comments. Yes, the barricades went up shortly after I posted my article. When I was there, the entire PCN stretch was accessible freely.
As for dinosaur playgrounds, the one at Kim Keat is still around.
I wrote to NParks last month and enquired from them when will the East Coast Park Extension connector where the Jurassic Mile is located to be opened. They replied and informed me it was slated to be opened either end of tthis September or early October.
So is this opened already? If no when?
Hi, as far as I know it is not opened yet. There is no word on the opening date.
Hello, thank for the update but I tot they are opening this coming weekend?

The dinosaurs are so colourful? i hope they did approach palaeontologist as i think it is not right to allocate dinosaur at public place to tell our kids the dinosaurs are these colour.
So if I am going on Mon to Thursday... I don't have to make the booking?

The person that posted the comment above, .... shame on you. Please take your trash elsewhere.
My English is not so good. Sorry everyone.
I’m not here to add tension to the world. But to see such conduct and keep quiet, I cannot do.
Cheekiemonkies has been diligently giving us all a lot all these years. Sharing selflessly. I have benefitted a lot. Cheekiemonkies is a gem to have around.
Like everyone else, I have chosen to come here, by my choice, to read and learn.
What more, you even acted on the article, hoping to gain, and journeyed to Jurassic. Then, come here and hurt people using words like “illegal”.
Cheekiemonkies, we continue to stand strong with you.
Please continue to give us. Thank you with Gratitude. Uncle D.
Thanks to my readers who shared that the connector is already open to public on Sunday! I have written a new post with more details if you are planning to head down with the kids: https://www.cheekiemonkie.net/2020/10/changi-jurassic-mile-dinosaur-park-connector-singapore.html
Hi Mike, if you are going down on a Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs, you can just walk straight in. No bookings needed.
Hi Unkonwn, regarding your question about the colours of the dinosaurs, you may wish to read this article:
Everything you thought you knew about dinosaur colours is wrong
(https://www.wired.co.uk/article/paleocolour-dinosaur-facts)
Hope it's educational for you. :)
Hi Uncle D, many thanks for your kind words of support as well as continued support all these years! :) I'm thick-skinned enough not to be affected by this kind of comments, especially when my conscience is clear. :D
