A Live Doodling Activation - Imagine the future of play
2pm to 5pm | Glass Atrium, Level 2
This was our play station, long before iPads and Playstations. Where every player was a neighbour, and every neighbour - a friend. Our playground has brought us together, from the very first swing to the state of the art. And it will continue to be the stomping, hopping, running ground of our children's children. Let's explore the future of play this National Day as we celebrate what unites us.
What better way to articulate the future, than to doodle? Turning a swing, slide or a see-saw into a canvas, we work with illustrators to imagine the possibilities of play. So the final artwork becomes a work of art the museum, and all Singaporeans, can own. Visitors are encouraged to imagine tomorrow's playground, and how it continues to bring us together. These scenarios will be drawn by the doodlers on to the canvas.
