Remember the Sentosa FunFest last year held during the June School Holidays? The 9-day beach festival featured a giant play area with larger-than-life inflatables and water-oriented obstacle courses, and was a ticketed event ($28/adult & $18/child).
This year, the beach festival is no more. Instead, a Mega Inflatables Playground will be held at Palawan Beach over the next 3 weekends in June (8-11, 15-18 & 22-25 June 2017) and will feature Singapore’s largest inflatable slide which measures 10m in height (three storeys), a mega ball pool with more than 200,000 balls, an inflatable maze, as well as obstacle courses while having loads of water-oriented fun.
And the best news of all? IT IS FREE FOR EVERYONE!
Billed as 'MEGA FUN at Sentosa'. this June School Holidays will see an exciting line-up of larger-than-life mega inflatables and installations at Palawan Beach, as well as returning crowd favourites such as movies by the beach and the iconic Merlion Magic Lights showcase.
Here's what to expect this June School Holidays:
Fun at Palawan Beach
Dates: 8 – 11, 15 – 18, 22 – 25 June 2017 (Thursday – Sunday)
Time: 10am – 7pm
Venue: Palawan Beach
Admission: FREE
The bulk of the fun is right on Palawan Beach, where an outdoor playground of mega inflatables and installations await. Oh, and do REMEMBER to bring your swimwear as the inflatables are constantly sprayed with water - and foam.
Take a plunge down the mega slide, dip into a pool of overflowing foam, or simply relax by the beach - it's all up to you! But if it's up to the kids, chances are they will zoom straight to the following free activities:
Triple Slide
Min. Height: 1.2m
The 10m-tall is not only Singapore's largest inflatable slide, it allows up to 3 people to slide down at the same time!
Expect plenty of splashing fun!
Horizontal Slide
Min. Height: 0.9m/1.2m
Children between 0.9m and 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult.
Balancing Beam
Min. Height: 0.9m/1.2m
Children between 0.9m and 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult.
Kids Maze
Min. Height: None
Mega Ball Pool
Min. Height: 1.2m
Children below 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult.
At 12m by 12m, this ball pool is one of the largest ball pools in Singapore. And it contains 200,000 colourful balls too!
Traversing Wall
Min. Height: 0.9m/1.2m
Children between 0.9m and 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult.
Cliff Jump
Min. Height: 0.9m/1.2m
Children between 0.9m and 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult.
Foam Pool
Min. Height: 0.9m/1.2m

Bubble Performance

Delight in a bubble performance made up of lights, colours and bubble art. Be wowed as the bubbleologist brings you into the wonderful world of bubbles!
Movies by the Beach
Dates & Movie Theme: 8 – 11 June (Mega Animal Lovers) | 15 – 18 June (Mega Cuteness) | 22 – 25 June (Mega Action)
Time: 7.30pm

Admission: FREE

Merlion Magic Lights
Dates: 2 June – 9 July 2017
Time: 7.45pm, 8.15pm, 8.45pm & 9.15pm,
*2 additional shows at 9.45pm & 10.15pm on Weekends, Eve of PH and PH
Venue: Merlion Plaza
Admission: FREE
Be treated to a visual and musical spectacular as the 37-metre-tall Sentosa Merlion transforms! Witness the iconic colour-changing Sentosa Merlion, and watch it twist as a pin ball drops from its top and off its body, creating stunning animated sparks.
This 8-minute one-of-a-kind light and music show has been created by some 10 people over a period of 2,800 man hours, with world-class projection technology and intelligent lighting.

Enhance Experience at Fort Siloso, Revamped Surrender Chambers

Rediscover Fort Siloso where enhanced way-finding features will make your self-guided tour a breeze! Start your journey at the Fort Siloso Skywalk and choose from two trails – Heritage Trail and Gun Trail - to explore Singapore’s World War II history. Also, remember to drop by the newly revamped Surrender Chambers which features more interactive elements, bringing the stories of the historic British and Japanese surrenders to life for an enriching and educational experience.
With the scorching hot weather that we have been experiencing lately, any form of fun activities by the beach will be welcome! And even better if they involve huge inflatables for kids to bounce to their hearts' content... and are FREE!
