Changi Airport is not just a place for arrivals and departures. In fact, it is one of the most kid-friendly place in Singapore I know, simply because it has lots of activities for children - many of which are free! - and it makes for a great destination for meals, GST-free shopping or just hang out... especially on rainy or hazy days!
And as if my previous post on 10 reasons to visit the public areas at Changi Airport is not enough, there are now even MORE reasons for you to bring the kids down this October.
Kids Dine Free Weekends
Every weekend in October, it pays to bring the family down to Changi Airport and have your lunch there... thanks to kids dining FREE! Valid every October weekend between 11am and 2pm, the little ones will be treated to complimentary dining at participating outlets at the public area with every purchase of an adult meal.
I have to admit that I was initially skeptical of the kid's serving portion but as you can see, the kid's meal was pretty substantial!
We dined at Ramen Champion at T3, and the accompanying free kid's ramen were a hit with the monkies.
See what I mean?
And I was pleasantly surprised too that some of the non-restaurants like Milk & Honey have joined in the promotion too. We got a kid size yogurt parfait for every normal size yogurt parfait ordered, which means I didn't have to share! Heh.
Participating outlets include:
Terminal 1
Manhattan Fish Market
Pappamia
RV Café
Saboten
Terminal 2
Central Thai
Fish & Co.
Paris Baguette
Penang Culture
Swensens
Tsubohachi Izakaya Hokkaido
Terminal 3
Gurney Drive Signatures
Milk & Honey
O Coffee Club
Paradise Dynasty
Pastamania
Ramen Champion
Thai Express
Xin Wang Hong Kong Café

Kids’ Activity Pack
We all know it can sometimes be a challenge to keep the kiddos occupied during meal times. But great news if you are dining at Changi Airport in October, because selected F&B establishments are giving out a special ’Changi Loves Kids’ Activity Pack!
Suitable for children between the ages of 4 to 10 years old, the activity pack consists of an activity book with colouring and puzzle pages and a multi-coloured crayon pen. The pack is available daily from now until 30 October 2016, so do remember to request for it from the service staff at the participating outlets.
For a full list of participating outlets, please visit HERE.
Reading Corner
How's this for upping the kid-friendliness nature at Changi Airport? A cozy corner filled with books has been specially set up for kids at Terminal 3 Basement 2 (next to Customer Service Counter).
The Reading Corner is a permanent fixture at Changi Airport and even comes with comfortable seating for the little ones to indulge in some reading pleasure!
Free Kiddy Rides
From 15 to 31 October 2016, treat your kid to a fun kiddy ride by redeeming for one with a single same-day receipt with a minimum spend of S$30 (S$60 for supermarkets).
Redeem the token at the Terminal 3 Basement 2 Customer Service Counter between 10am and 11pm. Valid for the first 80 redemptions daily on a first-come-first-served basis and tokens are to be utilized by 31 October 2016.
Win Hi-5 Fairytale @ MBS tickets
After dining at Changi Airport, remember to put that receipt to good use by redeeming a Hi-5 Fairytale show lucky draw contest form. If you are lucky, you may just win a set of 4 A-Reserve tickets to the Hi-5 Fairytale show at Marina Bay Sands on 2nd Dec 2016 (2:30pm show)! There are 3 sets to be won.
Simply present a single same-day receipt at Customer Service Counter located at Terminal 3 Basement 2 (Public Area) with a minimum spend of S$30 (or S$60 for supermarkets) from any Changi Airport outlet to redeem one lucky draw form.
So whether it is having a meal with the family or looking for family-friendly activities to keep the kids occupied, Changi Airport has got it covered this October!
Who knows, you may just catch Max, Changi Airport's mascot, roving around too!
