Punggol and surrounding residents rejoice - Waterway Point opens its doors today!
Located at Punggol Central and along Punggol Waterway, the new retail and lifestyle mall consists of four levels of indoor shopping, leisure and alfresco dining spaces, complete with breath-taking waterfront views.
And parents will be glad to know that the Kids & Family Zone on Level 2 of Waterway Point has been dedicated to young children and families. And nothing comes better than a FREE Indoor Playground!
Situated outside Toysland, the fully padded WONDERLAND indoor playground is a dream come true for toddlers and young kids.
Adopting an 'Alice in Wonderland' theme, the playground features creatures like a bunny, butterfly and caterpillar set in a garden setting.
Brightly coloured and vibrant, expect kids to clamour all over them!
There is even a mini slide to keep the kiddos' adrenaline in check.
For toddlers, there are sensory play boards mounted on the walls of the indoor playground too.
The indoor playground opens daily between 10.30am and 10pm.
And even though the playground is open to all children under 12 years old and below the height of 1.1m, I think older kids will find it a tad boring and childish. So realistically, the play area should appeal more to toddlers and children aged below 7.
Parents can keep a watchful eye on their kids from the colourful seats that lined the perimeter of the playground.
The playground is shoe-free, so be sure to keep your footwear neatly on the provided racks before entering!
As for older kids, a bigger dry AND wet playground awaits on Level 2 (beside the foodcourt)... although it is currently still under construction.
But looking at the photo below, something tells me that the wait will be worth it!
