Situated in a bomb-proof bunker, the fCOR is a significant and iconic historical structure of the SPF. It was the nerve centre where major crises have that shaped current Singapore were managed and resolved. These include the numerous communal and communist related incidents, such as the 1956 Chinese Middle School Riots, Konfrontasi, and the 1969 racial riots.
The exhibition re-creates the 1950s settings and furnishings of the fCOR, specifically after 25 October 1956 when combined operations between the army and police were activated after 4,000 students protested against the de-registering of the Singapore Chinese Middle School Students' Union (SCMSSU) by staging a stay-in demonstration that progressively turned violent.

A brand-new Christmas Toyland floral display blooms in the coolness of the Flower Dome. This year, toys reign supreme amidst yuletide floral favourites like the poinsettia, Christmas rose, winter heather and holly. Towering over the enchanting floral display is the centerpiece of Christmas Toyland – an 11-metre-tall Christmas Pyramid decked with toys. This multi-tiered traditional German wooden carousel will transform into a ‘live’ stage, hosting a series of festive performances for the very first time in the Flower Field. The ball pool, which is roughly four-fifths the size of a badminton court, offers children and adults alike the chance to dive in, have fun, unwind and enjoy some quality play-time in a colourful sea of balls.
Here’s how it works, with a minimum donation of $5 you can enjoy 15 minutes of free play in the ball pool. In return, Frasers Centrepoint Malls will match your donations dollar-for-dollar up to $30,000! But all this fantastic Christmas spirit fund raising fun doesn’t end there because as part of the Care & Share Movement, from now until 31 March 2016, total donations will also be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government!
Planned as a year-long initiative by Frasers Centrepoint Malls, in partnership with Community Chest, the ball pool is aimed at raising funds for Family Services Centres (FSCs). FSCs serve as community based family resources, providing much needed support for families that are facing difficulties.
