Ayd has been going for his second term of art lessons at heART Studio for a while now and just in case you did not know, he love his art lessons so much that he always look forward to them every weekend without fail. Well, it turned out that his enthusiasm is highly infectious because it made Ale to request for art lessons too!
So during the last June School Holidays, heART Studio was kind enough to have all three monkies down for its usual Holiday Workshops. See how happy Ale was?
She joined the Nature Composition holiday class, which was for children aged between 3 and 6 years old, and one that allowed her to learn how to draw forms using shapes and lines, while being taught using the techniques of painting, mixing of colors and color harmony and contrast at the same time.
As for the boys, they participated in the Clay Birds on Canvas class meant for children aged 7 years old and above. And Ayd was only to eager to bring his older brother for a tour around his classroom!
The Clay Bird on Canvas workshop exposed kids to the world of clay, where they experimented using clay in tandem with canvas painting.
As expected, all three had a blast over the 2.5-hour workshop. And at the end of it all, they had these to show for their effort.
Ale had a little bit of help, with regards to the brush strokes but overall, it was clear to me that she thoroughly enjoyed the session. I had originally feared that she would get all clingy when I left her classroom but in the end, all she did was to mumble a quck 'Bye Pa!" before delving back into her artwork.
If you are thinking of enrolling your child in heART Studio's term lessons, I feel its Holiday Workshops will be a great opportunity for him/her to get a feel of the lessons. And come this September School Holidays, its ever-popular Holiday Workshops are back once again!
The focus will be Canvas Painting for this round of holiday workshops, with kids being taught how to paint their all-time favourite characters - Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mr Men & Little Miss, Superheroes, Adventure Time and even Olaf of Frozen fame! - while at the same time, learning about colour-blending and the understanding colour values.
Depending on the age of your child, there are three different type of classes to sign up for over the week-long school holidays.
