After bidding "Doei!" to Miffy and the beautiful tulips at Gardens by the Bay, it is time to say "Bonjour!" and go on a botanical journey to France with a brand-new floral display in the Flower Dome.
In keeping with the theme of “Gardens by the Bay Goes around the World” series of floral displays for 2014, the brand new French Faire Floral Display at the Flower Field in the Flower Dome is part of its European leg, bringing a touch of French jardin (or garden) to Singapore.
And one does not get any more French than with - no, not French Fries - the Eiffel Tower, acting as the horticultural centrepiece and all dressed up in a coat of green foliage.
But the main stars are the flowers on display as well, like lavender, lilac, jasmine and gardenia amid a manicured garden setting.
Admittedly, the explosion of colours may not rival that of the tulips at Tulipmania but the frangance of the blooms complemented rather nicely with the various mock-ups of a cafe and florist, giving the entire display a very cozy feel.
At the very least, the crisp cool air within the Flower Dome will almost certainly perk both adults and kids up!
Throughout the duration of the French Faire Floral Display, there are a host of family-friendly activities lined up:
