What immediately comes to mind when I mention Sentosa?

Universal Studios Singapore? Skyline Luge? Staycation? S.E.A. Aquarium? Port of Lost Wonder? Or just plain lazing on the sandy beaches?

While any of those above will be enough to illicit screams of joy from my monkies, Sentosa has more attractions to offer. And even more so for families with young children - as we found out last year.

So it is fitting that Sentosa has earned the right to call itself the State of Fun, where FUN is the most fundamental right of all in this island.

That's right - this June School Holidays, the new state of fun wants you and your family to leave your passport behind, enter your own imagination and create memories in the land of eternal sunshine.

But before all of that can happen, the State of Fun needs your help.

There will be a mega launch party of epic proportions on 7 June 2014 and all of us have a hand in determining how awesome the party is going to be! Hop over to www.thestateoffun.com and you will see a half-raised flag. Help 'Raise The Flag' and in the process, unlock various attractive rewards which you can redeem at the actual party 7 June!

Here is what you need to do:

First, sign up as a Citizen of the Sate of Fun - it's FREE! -  using your personal Facebook or Twitter account HERE. Then, declare your fun citizenship with the hashtag #TheStateOfFun to all your friends! The more you post or tweet to friends about this celebration, the higher the flag goes, the greater number of rewards you’ll get to unlock and enjoy at the launch event!

What rewards are there on offer, you ask?

Rewards Tier 1: Balloons
Rewards Tier 2: Popcorn
Rewards Tier 3: Temporary Tattoos and Candy Floss
Rewards Tier 4: Sentosa FUN Vouchers and Carnival Acts
Rewards Tier 5: Fireworks, Orchestra and exclusive 50 pairs of VIP Party Passes

Tier 1 has already been reached, and we are fast approaching to unlock Tier 2. But what I really really really want is for Tier 5 to be unlocked, because that will just be totally kick-ass. Sure, fireworks and having orchestra is pretty okay but there are also 50 pairs of VIP Passes to the launch celebration to be given away!

As you can probably tell, we are so pumped up for the launch celebration. Oh, and here's another reason to rejoice - come 7 June, EVERYBODY enjoys FREE island admission via the Sentosa Boardwalk on weekends and public holidays for a whole SIX months.
