(Daddy builds)Gosh, has it been one year already?
It seems not too long ago that we were there when LEGOLAND Malaysia first opened its doors on 15 September 2012. And now, the theme park is a one-year-old toddler already?
So if you have made plans to visit LEGOLAND Malaysia during the weekend of 14/15 September 2013, then get ready to party and join in the birthday festivities! To kick off the celebration, LEGOLAND Malaysia will be organising a LEGO cake building session with Park visitors.
From 5 to 14 September 2013, visitors will be able to construct blocks of LEGO bricks and add on to a LEGO cake. The cake will comprise of over 300,000 bricks and measure 3 metres wide when completed.
But that's not all. Starting from 7 September 2013, every day at LEGOLAND will feel like a birthday, with jugglers, stilt walkers and unicyclists as well as magic shows and LEGO building challenges.
And come 15 September 2013, the birthday celebrations will culminate with a big-scale bash with dance performances, and a disco party for kids. And what's a party without fireworks? The fireworks display will be an amazing 3-D one, where bricks will appear to be falling from the sky.
Yup, that's how wide the LEGO cake is going to be! |
If you are also born on 15 September then you're in luck! Visitors - big and small - who share the same birthday as LEGOLAND Malaysia will enjoy free entry on 15 Sep and special entry rates (RM90 per day ticket) for up to 5 friends/relatives too.
As an added bonus, I got a special preview of the first completed attraction of the LEGOLAND Water Park too - the Joker Soaker, one of the Water Park's signature attractions.
It is a fun interactive play structure in the wade pool where kids can aim water cannons at one another. But the joke will be on them when the 2-metre LEGO Joker dumps 350 gallons (about 2650 bottles of Coca-cola bottles) of water on them.
One interesting bit of information I learnt about the Water Park is that it will be using state-of-the-art Neptune-Benson Defender Filters in the water areas, which are capable of filtering particles as small as 1 micron. And as I have mentioned in a previous blog entry, LEGOLAND Water Park is on schedule to open its doors in less than 2 months' time on 21 October 2013.
And to double the fun, LEGOLAND Water Park is now on the search for young swimmers aged between 6 and 12 years old to be Junior Lifesavers! 6 junior swimmers will be selected to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the opening crew of the LEGOLAND Water Park and also to work behind the scenes. Interested to register your child? Visit LEGOLAND Malaysia's Facebook page HERE for more information!
So bring your party hats, pom-poms, whistles and party the weekend away at LEGOLAND Malaysia's FIRST Birthday! And keep those swimsuits on standby mode come next month as well!
