After our Day 1 exertions, Days 2 and 3 seem pretty mild by comparison. Of course there were the usual family photo-taking moments but overall, we had fewer places to visit, or 拜年.
We even had time to wander off to West Coast Park Boardwalk so that we can work off all those accumulated bak kwa and pineapple tarts!
Well, it was a good thing we did that... because the feasting just seemed endless!
Day 3 would be the day that Ash looked forward to excitedly, as his primary school form teacher had invited his entire class to her place for a get-together.
I guess there isn't any need for me to say how much fun all the kids had... and how noisy the entire home was.
Luckily, the entire gang transferred their rowdiness to the playground downstairs. Heh.
All in all, this year's CNY has been more smooth sailing than last year's. For one, Ale is a tad older and doesn't require that much sleep during the daytime. In fact, she can survive pretty well with about one hour of sleep in the day... plus she is ultra adaptable and can sleep almost anywhere. Of course, there is always the challenge of keeping the kids entertained during visiting as well as limiting the goodies and sweet drinks. But at least everyone had fun and that's the most important bit, no? :)
Hope you enjoyed your Chinese New Year with your family and loved ones too!
