It's time for Octoburst! - the children's festival that promises an exciting weekend of arts activities. Express your wishes and desires in the annual Octoburst! Drawing Competition; experience the magic of ballet in Introduction to Sleeping Beauty; embark on an adventure with the forest animals as they unite to defend their home in My Forest Room - an amazing journey of hope through the Borneo Rainforest; and be revitalised by the energy of the young performers at the free programmes (Check them out HERE!). There will also be ParenTalk workshops to inspire Daddies and Mummies too!

It's a busy time on Sodor for Thomas and his friends as they help The Fat Controller prepare to welcome a group of holiday makers, who are visiting the island. Thomas is given an exciting and very important job of taking the visitors on a “Pirates of Sodor Tour”, but he gets distracted at the prospect of finding some real long lost treasure. Will Thomas be able to find the treasure and delight his passengers, or will he cause confusion and delay and spoil their holiday? With life-size moving engines and an original score of songs, this new live musical adventure will appeal to all young Thomas fans and their families.

The Mid-Autumn Festival may have passed, but the festivities continue all the way until 14 October 2012. For this grand community event, Chinatown has been decorated with countless of bright vibrant lanterns. Enjoy fun activities like lantern painting and shopping at a festive bazaar with over 300 stalls.

View gigantic lanterns on display such as The Little Matchstick Girl, Brave act of Si Ma Guang, Little Magic Painter, The Frog Prince and many others that have been made out of recycled materials. Visitors can also catch performances by the Sichuan Acrobatic Troupe while kids can try out the Carnival Funland.  There will also be a 3-minute fireworks display at 9pm during the weekend.

The Snail and the Whale

A tiny snail longs to see the world, so she hitches a lift on the tail of a huge humpback whale. Together they go on an amazing journey, experiencing sharks and penguins, icebergs and volcanoes. The little snail is amazed by it all, but starts feeling very small in the vastness of the world… Then disaster strikes – the whale becomes beached in a bay. Can the tiny snail save the day?
