So what is there to know about me?
I'm Kelvin, a Daddy Blogger based in Singapore and most recently, an author of two editions of 'Got Kids, Go Where?' - a book of 550 activities for parents to do with their kids in Singapore. I have guest written for Yahoo! Singapore Parenting website and was invited as a speaker at Asian Festival of Children's Content 2015, and a panelist for Singapore Children's Forum 2015. I was appointed a judge for Singapore Tourism Awards 2016 & 2017, and a Council Member of the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) Family & Community and Families for Life Council.
I also co-founded Daddy Matters - an online community of active dads as well as dads who want to be active in promoting the message of active fathering to everyone.
In addition, I was invited as a Panel Speaker for Social Media Week Singapore 2013 while my blog was named as one of the 10 Most Popular Lifestyle Blogs by The New Paper in 2013. I am honoured to be one of the Top 10 Finalists for the Best Family Blog Award in the Singapore Blog Awards 2012. In addition, I was invited to share my parenting thoughts on Radio 938Live's Parenting Made Easy segment as well as guest blog for www.maybebaby.sg on a regular basis.
But what really happened prior to all of these?
I married the woman of my dreams in 2003 which seemed a really long time ago. But that could probably be attributed to the arrival of my other 3 darlings of my life.
Frankly, I had never imagined myself to have 3 kids but stranger things have happened. So here I am now, a truly blessed owner of 3 cheekiemonkies, 2 terrapins and 1 fabulous wife. And yes, I would like to think that I have singlehandedly bumped up the national birth rate as well.

Interestingly, when my eldest son Ash was born in 2005, my wife Sharon was the one who started this blog as a means to document the growing years of our children. When she went back to work after her maternity leave ended, I took over the reins and have been chronicling my Fatherhood journey ever since then.
So now you know who is the one with all the free time.
Ayd was born in 2006, about 19 months after Ash. It wasn't exactly planned, but on hindsight the timing couldn't be better. Growing up, the 2 boys have been really close... minus the occasional squabbles.
Ale was the final roll of the dice for us, because Sharon wanted to have a legitimate reason to buy more hair accessories. She came to us in 2010. Since then, she has taught me that girls are indeed programmed differently from boys but more importantly, she has shown me that the loudest wails do often win.

Someone once said - with Fatherhood, comes great responsibility... along with soiled diapers - and I have learned a great deal from my kids. Check out the 36 things I have learned since becoming a DAD here and here.
Through this blog, we have met many new people and made new friends along the way. I have enjoyed working with various organizations like the NDP'09, Crocs Asia, URA and Tourism New South Wales. Ash, Ayd & I even had the chance to perform on stage together (forever) with Rick Astley on stage!
At the end of the day, we enjoy discovering new, fun, and kids-friendly places in Singapore together as a family. And of course, the occasional overseas trips too if the travel bug bites!
It has been an amazing and wonderful journey thus far, and we are honoured to share our adventures with you.

Yes, I recognised you during the Dyson event, but was too shy to say Hi lah. Haha... in fact, I think we met during the Navy Open house media preview (with your pink hair and all). :)

Have you tried the Fun Factory? It's a children programme going on in different locations in Singapore. I think they have facebook pages for different locations.
Kelvin, I am dad of a 5 year old boy, can't tell you how many times I've gone back to your blog to find things to do in Singapore with my son. Lost count of the number of people I have forwarded/raved about your blog to. What you're doing is, you're slowly helping to change the mindset that Singapore's boring and there's nothing to do here, or that you need a lot of money to have an enjoyable time. You're teaching all of us to open our eyes, appreciate beauty in the most simple things (malls not included), and in the end, it is our own attitude towards life and our environment that determines how much fun we have. Your kids are lucky to have a dad like you, and I am sure the mom's great too, your kids, they're great too. Thanks again, you're an inspiration to fatherhood!
