If you are not familiar with pediped footwear then you are really missing out on the best shoes for your child's little feet. We first came across pediped more than five years ago when Ash was still a toddler and we have loved it since.
The good thing about pediped's footwear system is that it is designed for infants right up to children aged seven. Ale was sent an adorable pair of Sadie Brown Mary Jane from the Flex line, and no prizes for guessing what was her first reaction when she first set her sights on it..
Yup, she demanded to wear them immediately.
She calls them her "pretty pink flowers shoes" and this pair has since shot up the ranks to become one of her current fave shoes.
The pediped Flex system is suited for children aged 1 to 7. These shoes are the perfect choice for confident walkers who have developed a solid, natural stride. With cushioned arch support and a soft, flexible rubber sole, Flex ensures comfort and healthy foot development.
Having the upper and lining portion made of leather and a natural rubber sole certainly enhanced the comfortable factor. Having a skid-resistant sole means that she can jump and run to her heart's content, like all active children do. And with a 3 year old who is not able to tie shoelaces yet, this pair of Mary Jane shoes is easy to put on and take off on her own, all thanks to the Velcro strap!
But what I thoroughly love about the pediped Flex system is that it allows me to adjust the fit of shoes to prolong wear. Each pair of Flex shoes comes with additional insoles that can be inserted for a snug fit and then removed for room as the child’s feet grow. These insoles can reduce shoe size by almost half a size, hence extending the life of the shoes.
And judging from how much Ale is loving her new pair of shoes, it is just apt that these shoes will be around to accompany her for a much longer time.
