Both Ash & Ayd do read this blog from time to time. And so when they read about how I got my hands dirty by helping to plant the tulips at the Flower Dome last week, they got all jealous, chanted KFC's new slogan - "So gooood..." - and of course declared they wanted to view the tulips as well.
Luckily for them, I had the exact same intention.
And even luckier for them, all the tulips were already in full bloom!
We went down to the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay over the Labour Day public holiday, and it seemed that scores of other people had the same idea as well.
Expectantly, everyone was crowded around the grand centerpiece in the Flower Dome but there are actually lots of other tulips planted around the Flower Dome and these are ones that we can go really close and have a sniff at them.
Very pretty huh... but the best of the lot was saved for the last, which got Ale really excited.
Say hello to the flower display field, filled with all 20,000 tulips specially flown in from the Netherlands.
It was hard to imagine just how beautiful the entire area would turn out when I was there helping to plant the tulips last week. So it was utterly breathtaking to see the bulbs having bloomed and the field transformed into a riot of colours.
Oh and if you are there, do remember to pick up your FREE copy of Tulipmania Activity Sheet that comes with every purchase of a Flower Dome admission ticket.

You can suss out trivia facts about Tulips and even make your very own paper Tulip souvenir... which complemented our Windmill at home very well, I must add.
