Nowadays, whenever Daddy & Mummy want to bring us monkies to a park, di-di & I always scream 'West Coast Park!' Yup, that's how much we love running wild there.
But this time, Daddy & Mummy decided to try somewhere different.
So we found ourselves at a previously unexplored park - Jurong Central Park.
Jurong Central Park is located just in front of Jurong Point shopping mall. So yes, it is at the other end of Singapore and I guess the plus point is that it's relatively uncrowded.
As you can tell, I was desperately looking out for a huge climbing structure, just like the spiderweb one at West Coast Park.
And I found it.
Well... it wasn't exactly the huge climbing structure I was hoping for. But the giant PVC sliding sheet more than made up for it.
We are used to going down a hard slide but this slide was wobbling side to side as we made our way down, making it twice as fun!
Needless to say, we went on it over and over again. And again. And again.
But that isn't the only fun thing at Jurong Central Park.
The entire Kids' play area there is lumped together into a huge Board Game!
It's Snakes & Ladders, and the pavement around the playground has been marked with numbers - just like a real board game!
But how do we move since we can't roll the dice?
We just have to look up at the Dice Tower.
The display randomly displays a die number from 1-6 and all we have to do is to take turns to make our moves. Cool eh?
Along the way, when we land on a ladder, we will have to climb across the obstacle to reach a higher board space.
Even Mummy couldn't resist joining in the fun! Hee.
And if we land on a snake, just like this slide...
We would have to make our way down. :(
At least the slide made the descent more fun!
There are 100 squares in all, but we didn't have time to finish the entire game (Hungry lah).
So we used our own (unlicensed) Fast Forward pass, and proceeded to the Finish Line - which is in the form of a zip line.
I think di-di enjoyed this portion the most.
Okay okay, me too. :P
All these while, mei-mei was busy with her own stuff. Disturbing the mimosa plants, that's what.
Truth be told, we still prefer West Coast Park. But it was a refreshing change from the usual playground, especially with the ingenious Snakes & Ladders game incorporated with the play structures.
Daddy & Mummy reckon we monkies would have been totally zonked out had we completed the entire board game. Something they hope would happen, huh?
Well, it didn't. The only result was our HUGE and FEROCIOUS appetite after our playground jaunt.
And luckily for us, there was a McDonald's at the park itself. How convenient! Heh.
No prizes for guessing who whacked the most fries then.
Til our next park discovery!

My little gal hates the sand, what about yours ? haha (this playground quite creative, love the Dice concept)
Hi Andy,
Yah, she also doesn't quite like the sand. Hopefully, she'll grow to like it as time passes. Haha.
Thank you so much for your great blog postings.
I just came to Singapore 2 months ago, and these days me and my kids are hooked in following your paths on this blog.
Just for add. information, last weekend (20-09-2014), we visited Jurong Central Park to find:
- The toilet is under repair (maybe until this Nov.) and there are a few portable toilets.
- since sometimes the dice tower didn't work so well, we used our I-phone dice app. instead of looking up to the tower.
Thanks-!
